Prenatal yoga is the best way to connect with your body and baby during these exciting nine months of your life. Throughout these classes, you will begin to cultivate a greater understanding of your body and the changes that are occurring to accommodate your baby. A combination of deep stretching postures, strengthening poses, breath work, and meditation will guide you towards an enjoyable, peaceful pregnancy for both you and baby.
Prenatal yoga is tailored to help strengthen pelvic muscles, improve circulation to reduce stiffness and swelling, aid in digestion, reduce spinal fatigue, minimize low back pain and sciatica, increase flexibility in preparation for childbirth, develop strength to support your softening muscles, and discover an inner peace that will guide you through labor, postpartum, and beyond. The mindful movement and meditative breathing learned from prenatal yoga will prepare each new mother for the physical and nurturing aspects of labor, birth, and ultimately motherhood!
My classes are safe and accessible for women of all ages and stages of pregnancy as well as all fitness levels. Absolutely no prior yoga experience is necessary and each class is appropriate for the beginner or seasoned practitioner. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat and water bottle. All other necessary props will be provided.
